You've run very well, then. Southwest has extremely rigid policies and will fuck you if anything slightly out of the ordinary occurs.
Furthermore, they've done some nasty things to people over the years. In 2014, a bitchy gate agent was mad that a passenger tweeted about poor service he had from her, so she removed the guy and his entire family from the flight being boarded as a "safety threat". She said
he could only get back on if he deleted the tweet, which he finally did.
I made two attempts to fly Southwest, 15 years apart. I got fucked in different ways in both of them.
Southwest and other discount airlines also attract a trashier caliber of passenger, which makes it more likely you're going to run into problem people on the flight.
