It's even possible that this injury occurred after her time with Bauer, and he was a convenient target from which to extract $. It's also possible that they had consensual rough sex, and then she had nagging pain from it afterwards as a result, and decided to call it "assault".
Anyway, athletes like Bauer need to be careful with this stuff. Before having any kind of rough sex, they should establish a chain of text messages where it's clear the woman really wants it. He could easily get this done without the woman even knowing he's doing it to protect thimself... just bring up the subject, and let the woman talk about it. Can't be too cautious with this stuff these days, especially if you're rich and/or famous.
