Again, this New England team is strange. I think their Super Bowl chances hinged mostly on getting the one seed, which of course is a huge factor for any team, but with them even more so. Jacksonville and Houston need to be holding practices somewhere with very cold weather.

The comparison to the rookie Dak Cowboys team is eerily similar, but they have played one of the all team easiest schedules by every metric.
I'm so annoyed by the plaudits Galen Hall is getting.
He had 2 of the 5 winning entries. Many are standing up and applauding him, though there are a good number of critics who are angry about his multi-accounting.
Galen admitted to having 50 tickets, but my guess is that he had far more. The fact that he made the final 11 with 4 different people's tickets makes me believe he didn't just register under 5 people's names.
He likely admitted to 50 because we knew he had an absolute minimum of 31 (and being practical, a minimum of 40), so 50 sounded like a good number to claim.
As I said before, this wasn't cheating, but it also broke the entire spirit of the contest, and it really changes the entire dynamic when players have enough entries to start "both sidesing" it whenever it's a tough spot. This is hugely advantageous on Thanksgiving and Christmas when possible choices are extremely limited.
Supposedly 4 of the 5 winners had a poker association, including Hall and Jason Somerville. I don't know if the other poker guys were in syndicates, but I'm guessing yes. This is especially likely because of the "all the favorites losing" Thanksgiving carnage, which greatly favored ploppies (having used all the favorites already) and syndicates (had enough tickets to go with the dogs AND the favorites).
It's a little shitty but as Johnny Sack one said "we break more rules than the Catholic Church".
I think its a great format and was probably the most talked about element of the NFL season in here. With that said I can't imagine not pulling together a PFA group on this next season. I have had a few people ask me about it in passing enough that I think there would be significant interest.
will mayhem ensue in the afc playoffs?
most certainly there's more of a possibility then what it seems ever before.
thing is it will be almost impossible to pick the team doing it or advancing to the SB.
just look at the afc. if the pats are vulnerable and the brocs are a little suspect neither might not win a game. but who will benefit. can you even answer that question?
den
ne
jax
pitt
-
hous
buff
sd
pitt's no good. if they manage to win a home game they will be hard pressed to win on the rd. every high seed wants to see them in rd 2. houston gets the easiest team in the playoffs and if they win nobody will want to play them
buff is fav on the rd vs jax. i would never bet buff here. regardless of history and having allen you cannot trust this team on the road. jax could easily crush them and it wouldn't surprise me. jax just never seems to step up in big spots.
sd is completely under the radar. if they beat ne on the road does it really favor denver that much? maybe, some but denver is no lock to beat sd should it come to that. i don't think ne will lose but the writing is on the wall if they do.
i think jax and hous are the best bets in rd 1
Four teams finished 3-14: Jets, Titans, Raiders, and Cardinals. Three of those teams were projected to be awful, but the Cardinals really collapsed and were surprisingly bad.
The Giants were a dog in their final game but won, to prevent going 3-14 as well.
The Raiders won in the final minute, to avoid a 2-15 fate.
Regarding the AFC, mulva makes a lot of good points. Very hard to predict what's going to happen there. Every team in that conference is flawed, and there's a reason to really be bearish on all of them.
I really think it's gotta be Rams or Seahawks coming out of the NFC.

I wish the Cowboys would reach out to Harbaugh. Is any coach who has options going to consider working with, more like for, Lamar Jackson?
In a year of unusual teams, the Steelers are one of the weirdest.
Who do you guys believe will win the AFC?
the favorite - denver
New orleans wining 5 of the last 7 games was a shock.
Vrabel is lock for COTY. Should have bet more.
If Tre Henderson didnt get hurt in week 17 and he scored the TDs that Stephenson got in weeks 17 and 18 he wins ROY. I still think this race is closer than most people think..
Why why why why did I read the Tea leaves on Denver and come out to a flyer on Nix for MVP.... suck Mayes New England dick..., and not take him.... so dumb.
