In 2017 I was diamond with Choice Priviliges and Wyndam. It was a good year. I bought 46 ounces of gold that year with a portion of my earn. Now worth twice what I payed for it.

I built it up to where I was getting-and still get-about a month and a half of room comp in the snail mail, email and texts every month. That's about 45 days worth but only 30 days in the month.

That's worked out lovely now that I'm retired because I still get all those benefits. I'm set for life. Advantage play is just a hobby now. I rarely will play more than a couple of hours a day, only when I feel like it. Even at that rate.

I think it was about 1997 I was playing poker in Colorado. Some guy from Bellagio, which hadn't opened yet, came through and played poker. He was watching dealers and offering them jobs at Bellagio.

I knew who the good dealers were. I was into hands per hour. They had some good ones and bad ones in Cripple Creek. Nothing more miserable than getting a dealer that can do only 8 hands of Stud 8 in a half hour down when the last one could do 16. Same thing in fucking O8. I've seen dealers so miserable they couldn't do 8 hands in an hour.

In a split pot you don't stack the chips after the hand is over. They should have been stacked on every street as they came in. Then you've got these miserable dealers that have to handle each chip stack 3 times before they push the chips, when handling the stacks one time should have sufficed. That's how real dealers do it. So players don't have to sit and twiddle their thumbs forever waiting for the next hand to be dealt.

I knew some of the dealers that went from Cripple Creek to Bellagio. The Bellagio poker room started with all experienced dealers. The same can't be said for the Golden Nugget.
