About 2 1/2 years ago my wife and I reconciled and put the family back together so now I'm in Worcester with her, back in my own house. I've been playing almost exclusively at Chasers in Salem, NH. I just don't care very much for the MGM poker crowd and much prefer the New Hampshire folks.

We did decide today to start playing at the Mohegan on Friday's going forward. Foxwoods can go screw. Its awfully hard to explain to someone who can't relate to what that place was like in the 90's vs. what it is now. It went from the best casino and poker room in all of New England to a dump. There are no good restaurants and the poker room is nothing like what it used to be. The tournament schedule since covid is also totally lame.

I haven't played at Encore Boston since 2019 but that is now the most active room in the area and I do intend to get there soon also.

Drinking a little wine now and headed to bed hoping for a night free of violent dreams.
Nice, Im in belchertown so pretty much stopped going to Foxwoods since MGM opened and yes I concur it has turned into a dump. I always thought it was a pit of misery and despair (especially compared to the younger, more vibrant Mohegan crowd that actually seemed to be enjoying itself) so I can't say I miss it one bit. i dont even think those cheap bastards give out free rooms anymore, the poker room is moved upstairs and usually has 15-20 tables running but Ive only been a handful of times in the last 5 years. I play a couple times a week $1-2 at MGM, yes not the most dignified crowd but the games are extremely soft and profitable so a good way to supplement the income and get some free drinks. Usually stick to weekdays because they have some really good promos, they just did a cool March Madness one where they started with 64 hands and each time one got hit it would get eliminated and the one it was playing would move on, got more profitable as rounds went on, currently only 1 hand left 10 high SF of hearts, when it hits gonna pay $16k
You're in Belchertown? No shit!! I grew up in Petersham and Athol and we'd often go to Amherst to the Hadley mall for some weekend entertainment. My youngest kid goes to school at UMASS Amherst. Small world! Belchertown is a very nice town and MGM is such a short ride for you. I'll make it a point to come to MGM a weekday this week. I'll be wearing a Georgia hat if you're inclined to say hi to me.

Foxwoods still offering me free rooms Monday-Thursday but its not enough to get me to want to go there again.
