Yup, I keep citing the Soleimani thing as an example of Trump handling Iran perfectly (and against the advice of a lot of so-called "experts"). He ordered a longtime dangerous terrorist, who also was a general in Iran, killed in a military strike. He basically dared Iran to do anything about it, and indeed they were too scared to escalate, and instead did some lol symbolic response where they warned the US beforehand that they fired a few rockets at a base. If a Democrat were President at the time, Soleimani would still be alive and killing westerners.

Many forget this, but the Soleimani thing was ultimately judged as a Trump success, and he hit his highest odds of reelection at that point, -190, right after this occurred. Then COVID hit, and it all changed.

You can't negotiate with terrorist-supporting regimes. They only understand force and consequences. And the regimes which actually are terrorists, such as Hamas, simply need to be destroyed. Hamas was a ticking time bomb. I knew this as soon as they took over Gaza. Something like this was just a matter of time, but not for the reason a lot of apologist leftists are saying. It's because Hamas is a group of religious fundamentalist terrorists, and their goal is to kill all Jews and destroy Israel. They should have never been left in power, and the only proper solution at this point is to kill them.

I know you're all going to be shocked, but longtime anti-Semitic Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib put out misinformation about Israel:

    https://twitter.com/RashidaTlaib/status/1714342122185191596

This has since been debunked, but she has not deleted the tweet, nor issued a correction.

We are supposed to ignore that young Democratic Congress stars Rashida Tlaib, Cori Bush, and Ilhan Omar are blatant anti-Semites. Everyone look at Marjorie Taylor-Green and her "Jewish space lasers" comment! Just don't look at the left wing Jew-haters, right in front of our faces.

Both the AP and Reuters have not confirmed if it was Israel or Hamas, but sifting through the evidence online, the fact that Hamas has never possessed rockets anywhere near that powerful, and the fact that multiple tweets from official Israeli government accounts have been deleted with stories changed, I'm setting the line at -400 Israel bombed a hospital. I hope it's not true.

Every person my age and younger is questioning why if they had the footage it wasn't immediately released. Not a good look.

Regardless of the truth of this hospital situation, why are all the US Hamas apologists not addressing what Hamas is hiding out at hospitals in the first place?

I ate at that place. It's owned by Lebanese people. Corner of Westwood and Santa Monica Blvd. Chicken is good. They had a 2nd location that got looted by BLM thugs and they decided to keep it closed permanently.

Attention all cheap Jews: open up that wallet and buy some guns and ammunition. The longer this war goes on the likelihood of Muslims going after Jews in the USA goes up.

Israel needs to invade now and occupy some territory to have a bargaining chip. Agreeing to stop bombing and not invading is not a strong enough bargaining position to get much in return.

    Cease fire proposals starting soon.
Biden will say we have supported Israel 100%. There is now too much death and a humanitarian crisis. It's time for a cease fire and no Israeli invasion.

Hamas showed video of a French woman and said she is a "guest". Said foreign citizens will be allowed to leave when conditions permit it - cease fire.

Another Hamas report said "civilians" would be allowed to leave if bombing stops - cease fire. All Israelis have to serve in the military and are now in the reserves so they are not civilians. Israelis will be kept as prisoners.

Hamas is using the foreigner hostages to try to split their countries away from supporting Israel and start requesting a cease fire.

It remains my position that this is none of our business, but Israel blowing a hospital to shit makes total sense. It lets the enemy know that you're not fucking around and will not hesitate to kill all of them and any Palestinian who happens to be in the way of them, or even in their relative physical proximity. That's how you do war. Even W.T. Sherman wouldn't have had that level of gumption.

    Angry

I’m from the Colonel Kurtz school of warfare. My favorite lines:

“I remember when I was with Special Forces... seems a thousand centuries ago. We went into a camp to inoculate some children. We left the camp after we had inoculated the children for polio, and this old man came running after us and he was crying. He couldn't see. We went back there, and they had come and hacked off every inoculated arm. There they were in a pile. A pile of little arms. And I remember... I... I... I cried, I wept like some grandmother. I wanted to tear my teeth out; I didn't know what I wanted to do! And I want to remember it. I never want to forget it... I never want to forget. And then I realized... like I was shot... like I was shot with a diamond... a diamond bullet right through my forehead. And I thought, my God... the genius of that! The genius! The will to do that! Perfect, genuine, complete, crystalline, pure. And then I realized they were stronger than we, because they could stand that these were not monsters, these were men... trained cadres. These men who fought with their hearts, who had families, who had children, who were filled with love... but they had the strength... the strength... to do that. If I had ten divisions of those men, our troubles here would be over very quickly. You have to have men who are moral... and at the same time who are able to utilize their primordial instincts to kill without feeling... without passion... without judgment... without judgment! Because it's judgment that defeats us”

Hamas is the defacto government of the Gaza Strip and its actually in their charter to commit genocide on the Jews. Bad PR? Certainly, but that falls into the judgement aspect of above quote. Judgement and restraint prolongs shit and kills as many in the end. Plus life as a scrub man/woman on the West Bank isn’t exactly a pleasant life. There are things worse than death.

I recall my grandfather talking to me about WW2. He was in the South Pacific. I asked him about Hiroshima and the bomb? He said more would have died and what’s better? Rape and pillage or gone in a moment? I couldn’t argue.

Great story about Apocalypse Now. The reason Marlon Brando was in the shadows was not to make him look sinister. It's he came to the movie shoot nearly 300lbs and 50lbs heavier than when he accepted the part. Francis For Coppola the Director was furious. I mean, how can you portray a guy, Colonel Kurtz, living in the jungle for years massively overweight. They almost fired Brando but decided they could hide his weight gain through shadows and darkness. Turned out to be one of the more memorable scenes in movie history. Before he died, Roger Ebert who has seen just about every move before his death had this one as #2 on his all time list. It's also in my top 10 though not as good as Deer Hunter.

Just saw Hearts of Darkness this year, documentary about the filming of Apocalypse Now.

Crazy shit behind the animal slaughter, Martin Sheen actually breaking down and fucking up his hand when he punches the mirror, nonstop rewrites, loads of drugs, etc.

There is a worst case scenario to this situation which could lead to World War III.

This is because of all the factions backing the various players right now.

The US is ready to attack Hezbollah, if they attempt to go after Israel from the north. If the US obliterates Hezbollah, Iran will probably start some kind of proxy war against Israel. If Israel eventually gets overwhelmed and feels as if they are about to be defeated, they will use their nukes. This, in turn, could cause China and Russia to get involved (who are on Iran's side), who could then retaliate with nukes against Israel.

What would the US do in such a situation? Would we use our own nukes, or allow Israel to get obliterated?

This isn't as far fetched a scenario as you might think.

"Peace through strength" especially applies in this situation. Israel cannot project weakness or vulnerability. They need to fairly quickly destroy Hamas, and then basically stand tall and basically dare Hezbollah to start any shit, even if the prospect of that happening legitimately scares them.

There are many in the region who have been waiting for the perfect moment of weakness to obliterate Israel and all the Jews there. Israel only continues to exist through its military power and, secondarily, western support. If their neighbors sense they are vulnerable, not only will the expected enemies attack, but their present "friendly" neighbors might also turn on them.

A cease fire would be the worst thing they could do right now -- both short term and long term.
