The best color of all time is blue.
My favorite color is red, like the bloodshed.
From Kurt Cobain's head when he shot himself dead.

Ginger Baker is better than Keith Moon the way Joe Satriani is better than Jimi Hendrix

As somewhat of a drummer, I have to say that Keith Moon is pretty overrated.
In the video you posted, you can clearly hear how he struggles to keep the tempo consistent, and speeds up and slows down at times. Was he good, yes. Was he very wild and played with power, yes.
Was he the best? I wouldnt have him in my top 100 of all time. He was part of a band where as a group, they were amazing. Isolated, he is pretty good, not great.

SOMETHING IS HIDING FROM CHAPS WHAT COULD IT BE
"Birds born in a cage think flying is an illness." - Alejandro Jodorowsky
"America is not so much a nightmare as a non-dream. The American non-dream is precisely a move to wipe the dream out of existence. The dream is a spontaneous happening and therefore dangerous to a control system set up by the non-dreamers." -- William S. Burroughs
It's easy to say Keith Moon is over rated because he's usually in the conversation when it comes to "best rock drummer" along with Bonzo, Neal Peart etc. You can go to your guitar center or even your local high school right now and find somebody who can technically shit on Keith Moon, but it's not all about that. He is an emotional drummer, and to me, his undisciplined approach just adds to the charm. Also, Keith Moon plays a 'role' in The Who that, off the top of my head, no other 'rock star' drummer has ever done. There are 1000's of drummers who count Keith Moon as a major influence but I can't, with the exception of Rat Scabies of The Damned, think of another great rock drummer who does what he does. It's hard to explain.

Jimmy Chamberlin of Smashing Pumpkins is another favorite drummer of mine, but he's very technical, and even though he does amazing shit all the time, he never really bites off more than he can chew. Keith Moon regularly overextended and it's almost like he intentionally trips up the band just for fun
