This actually makes sense.
Original signup country is unreliable because it goes by IP, and how that IP presently resolves. Due to IP reassignment, it can easily occur where an IP previously resolving to one country now resolves to another.
Therefore, an IP from a 2012 signup in the US could erroneously resolve to "China" or some other country.
That's why it was removed.
A lot of janky original signup locations were appearing (see the Hodge Twins I posted earlier), which I originally attributed to perhaps those people actually being foreign assets, but then I realized X was just being retarded and not thinking about the whole IP-might-have-been-reassigned-many-years-later thing.
This could have been prevented if original Twitter resolved the IP and saved the geolocation somewhere, but apparently they didn't, so now original signup IPs don't mean that much anymore.
But yes, I called it out months ago that there's tons of fake "hot patriot" chicks on X.
Some are actually foreigners.
Some are actually American men.
Some are actually women, but they use a fake picture (or a cartoon picture implying they're hot) and lie about their age.
