weird or cool things that happened when you attended sporting events

seems i have so many of these that i think are pretty cool and some that are crazy that happened while attending sporting events when i was a kid or adult, would like to hear other peoples stories too, i'll start with this one...

me and my dad were at this game in old Comiskey Park when Greg Luzinski hit a homer onto the rooftop, i was 12 years old, we were sitting in right center field and seemed to have just a perfect view of this, the ball just seemed like it was just gonna keep going into the atmosphere... the ball just seemed to disappear over the rooftop, it may or may not be confirmed but we believe(ed) the ball never touched the rooftop and just left the ballpark entirely, i thought Comiskey Park was beautiful even as a kid, very similar to Wrigley Field in my opinion... i'll try and hold off for my next story until someone else tells a story....

Benjamin asked me at a Dodgers game, "Do birds ever fly into the stadium during a game?"

I said that it happens occasionally, but they fly out.

He then asked, "No, has one ever landed and disrupted a game?"

I said that I hadn't seen that, and my only memory of a bird on the field was when Randy Johnson hit and killed one with his fastball, and of course I wasn't at that game.

Then a few innings later, a goose flew into the stadium, landed on the field, and they had to pause the game until it was caught.

I couldn’t find video, but this article addresses it.

I was sitting like a row behind the guy he drilled. They always said the guy said something about alcoholism and and a keg party. This was right when Belle changed his name from Joey to Albert. The guy chanted Joooooeee all drawn out for an hour. Never heard anything about drinking.

Real idiot. Our own player. Was an absolute bullet Belle threw and hit the guy center chest like a sniper. And we weren’t in first row. He literally moved people aside to throw at the right guy and drilled him. I loved it.

I was about 10, watching the Bing Crosby Pro-Am. They normally played Pebble, Spyglass, and Cypress. They played Monterey Peninsula instead of Cypress that year due to a severe drought. I was watching out in the fairway in front of my grandparents house. He comes a ball. It is slicing right towards the woman next to me, and nails her in the noggin. She goes down. Up comes the golfer who hit her. That was the first time I saw Jack Nicklaus in person. He was apologetic, but happy is ball didn't land in the icepant, which is impossible to hit out of!

Admittedly a great story but another brag post.
Watching professional golfers from the grandparents back yard?
    Priceless
How did you overcome the odds?

My grandparents were well off, but my dad grew up dirt poor. He hadn't made it yet, so I kind of lived in two words.

Maybe further explanation re: your father is required
The properties you described are rare/exclusive.
No blame attached but it doesn't fit the narrative

The story is crazy good and I believe it. Jack Nicklaus within ten feet is enough for me

    Was dad a speed freak?
    Had the yips?

BTW Nicklaus has the best record of any golfer.
Tiger got very close but is second
