I’ve never paid much attention to Charlie Kirk, and it’s a real tragedy what happened to him…regardless of whether you like him or not. But with all of the videos that are now showing up I’ve seen an element of his that is relevant to Chrissy…the whole “College is a scam” concept. The two however play that concept differently. Chrissy tries to say that college is a scam because you just wind up with a JOB and you’ll be dead broke the rest of your life with nothing to show for the degree. Kirk at least qualifies his opinion by saying that college is a scam dependent upon what you study there and whether what you wind up doing actually requires that you have a degree (and the number of jobs that require this is certainly dropping over time).

Kirk states that if you study medicine, technology, law, or political science (as examples) then college is good for you. Whereas if you study things like sociology or liberal arts or you’re not going to get anywhere. He also notes that a lot of college students are in majors that can already be replaced easily by AI…not sure that makes college a scam or more of something that just hasn’t adjusted to what the human workforce space needs Either way, the whole experience of being in college regardless of your major can’t be ignored…especially if you go away for it.

Kirk also isn’t trying to tell you that having a job is bad. All he’s saying is that a much higher number of jobs no longer require you to have a degree. So if you’re going to wind up in any of those fields then college isn’t doing anything for you (and you can still learn by doing online courses at a much lower cost or even for free).

Funny thing is that most of Kirk’s touring appearances appear to take place on college campuses. How dumb is that? This guy was laterally trying to cause colleges to lose business yet they all didn’t seem to mind him doing rallies on their grounds. Not very smart for the bottom line.
