I'm surprised the host didn't upgrade it way past that, as the latest is 8.4.
Skatz is still on vBulletin 3.8, right? That's even more ancient than this site's vBulletin 4. I can't run PHP 7.2 or later, so switching hosting would be a tremendous hassle at this point. On the plus side, I have a bare metal machine, and I maintain it all myself remotely (with occasional help from them when it's something I can't do from afar), so they don't force-upgrade anything on me.
They did up my price to maintain this ancient machine, which I stupidly just paid for awhile. Finally one day I realized I was being stupid to have accepted this without question, so I talked them down to something far more reasonable.

3.8.11 is compatible up to php 7.2. There's an unofficial 3.8.14 that goes beyond that, I would imagine there has to be the same for 4, but it might complicate upgrading to vbulletin 5 or 6 in the future.
Part of the reason is because I've done so many custom mods here that it would be beyond a pain in the ass to redo it all.
A lot of the mods is under-the-hood stuff which the user doesn't see, but keeps PFA more secure and bot-free.
So it looks like both are compatible up to 7.2. I haven't seen any unofficial vBulletin 4 which supports PHP 8. Maybe I should look for it at some point, if it exists. I could probably make one myself, but it would likely be a lot of effort.
I'm still living in a world of yesterday where my phone is jailbroken and on iOS 14, my chat room and radio software is from the 2000s, and my vBulletin is from the early 2010s.
As much as I hate to do it, I have to boot Sidedish and Behemoth's teams, we will have 8 this year instead of 10.
There may be at least one spot open given a couple people's history of fucking up the draft. For anyone that is just average at fantasy sports this gives you at least a 10% chance at winning the 350 free roll, with an even better chance at winning the other 175 in potential free roll prizes.

Behemoth has played every year and is a former champion, can't kick him. I will leave Sidedish's team and if he doesn't show by week two kickoff, anyone here in good standing is welcome to take it over - eligible to win all prizes from that week on, ineligible to win the in season prizes prior to assuming team.

When I observed Boris, he almost seemed like a Boris-only poster, maybe someone who lurked on NWP but never registered. He didn't seem to like me, even though I've obviously never done anything to him.
