I was dumb enough to loan Chino money the year he made the WSOP Main November Nine and was paid out $1m on the spot.
This was like 2 weeks later and I figured he just needed the $8k on Stars, as he said he'd meet me the next day and just hand me cash. He and I were friendly acquaintances at the time.
Of course I got Chino'd (I didn't know his rep yet, somehow), and he ghosted me. I felt so stupid.
Fortunately my rep for calling shit out had already gotten around, given that this was post-AP scandal. Someone in Chino's orbit told him it wasn't a good idea to stiff me, but of course Chino had degened off my $8k and couldn't pay. Suddenly I got a message from Chino saying that one of his friends would pay me that day. Sure enough, Robert Mizrachi sent me $8k. Whether Robert got the money back from Chino is up for debate, but that's not my problem.
To this day, I'm probably the one who got paid back the fastest from a Chino loan.

Mizrach was at table and stood up for him. Another story was he came up to some random who was on a craps heater. He told him had money on nl ring game and asked if he could join his rush and guy said ok. Some time chino busted out and left. Guy went to the table to collect his funds and was told chino had racked up and left lol. was staked to tourney and blew they buy in in craps. Guy he owed came up to him on line waiting for buyin to tournament guy asked him for his money , Chino asked him how much he owed. The whole chino thread on 2 plus 2 was guy whose family owned canadian beer company and bought in mizrak and chino. Mizrak paid his portion but off course chino stiffed him
Flat out it’s Grinders to lose. Even if Hallaert gets the chips from the two very short stacks he’s gonna have to deal with a 4:1 chip deficit basically. Grinder will walk into the Poker HOF next year. Also there’s something wrong if Grinder somehow missed winning POY with the PPC and Main titles.
