Aren't you around 50? If you are, when the kid hits the teen age years, you will have to deal with this shit when you are in your mid to late 60's.

Truth of the matter is I've been thinking I want to have children within 5 years. In my mind, considering my age anything beyond 5 years wouldn't really be all that fair to a child as far as the chance of having a father around for a good portion of their life. I lost my dad 7 years ago and it definitely made me reconsider my thought process when it came to this.
Granted, I didn't expect it to go down like this, but that's life obv.
