    lol what?

The Bills have now won a playoff game for the 6th consecutive season. What on earth are you talking about?

Sorry I accidentally typed the wrong thing because I was tired.

I meant that the Bills didn't go back to choking the first round like they consistently did for over 2 decades. But it was close to happening again.

Anyway they've generally sucked in the Division round despite winning the WC round 6 straight, and squeaked by last year. This team has been really inconsistent, and they almost lost here. I don't think they're going to the Super Bowl. But this year is wide open, so who knows.

Was interesting that their only 4 SB appearances were in consecutive years, and all losses.

The wind chill will likely be in the negatives.

Oh god. The idea of fading weather games is catnip to me. A very profitable NFL angle for me over the years.

I got up in GA today and pledged to stay NFL sober. Gonna be hard.

Okay, that’s a weird thing to accidentally type wrong. And for what it’s worth I’d still disagree with all of that. The Bills have generally played well the last 6 years in the playoffs. Josh Allen has been insanely good in the playoffs. They just have had the misfortune of having the last 5 years correspond with a Chiefs dynasty run and have given them all they can handle but come up short 4 of the last 5 years against the Chiefs.

Every year recently is supposed to be "their year" and then they lose the division round, except last year where they squeaked by, and lost to the Chiefs anyway. The Chiefs' performance in the last Superbowl was foreshadowing what was to come. It's not like that was an unstoppable team, despite its record.

Anyway when a top echelon team makes the division round 5 times in a row and it results in 3 division losses and 2 conference losses, that's not a lot to brag about. If you go back to 2017, that's 7 postseason appearances out of 8 seasons (not counting this one) where they didn't make the Superbowl, and 5 of 7 didn't make the conference round.

You can't try to make the case that this has been a successful playoff team, even with the 6-0 wildcard run in the 2020s.

CJ Stroud has clearly bet on the Steelers.

Imagine being the Patriots, and first you get one of the easiest schedules in history, and then your first two postseason opponents are the Chargers and whoever wins this awful Houston/Pitt game.

Provided they win, it will be the easiest path to the AFC Championship game in NFL history.

The Texans are pretty salty, only have 1 loss to a non playoff team which was the buccaneers by 1 pt….worst loss was by 8 at Seattle.

They will be the underdogs but they win close games and have the best D in the league, although if Collins is out their offense is bad.

They need to have their team both practicing and camping somewhere cold and then for their entire offensive strategy to be running the ball 45+ times. If their defense plays with that intensity again and they don't turn the ball over, it's just difficult to picture the team lead by a 23 year old to be able to handle it.

This score.... did NOT reflect the Texans' true level of dominance in the game.

It reflected a 4th quarter meltdown by the Steelers.

I wonder if Aaron Rodgers is going out on that horrible note. He actually did better this year than I expected, though.

The lake-effect snow band will very likely be well east of Chicago by game time Sunday. I expect a fully dry game.

That said, everything else is spot on. God help the Rams.

Not only that, but the Rams didn't look so hot in Carolina. They were a hair away from a major upset.

I have a general theory on predicting the SB winner:

The team which had the fewest outright shitty games during the season, and also isn’t barely squeaking by in the playoffs, is going to be the winner.

Definitely was true last year for the Eagles, as they were the team which most infrequently played badly.

This year it would be the Seahawks.

So your theory is that generally the best team is most likely to win the SB? That’s genius!

The score reflected two late miscues, but the Texans dominated the game and imposed their will on the Steelers throughout the game in every way but Stroud was simply horrible. They had 2 defensive TDs in which they accrue no yards and have to immediately give the ball back to the Steelers and still out gained them 408–175.

Basically the entire team played exceptionally well with the exception of Stroud who was literally horrible. They were running the ball right at them even though their QB was horrible and box was stacked. I don’t like their chances because QB is the most important position and Stroud didn’t look ready and now Collins is hurt, but that’s a team that is physical in a way champions usually are. It’s the template of a championship team in the next few years. If Stroud simply plays mistake free and game manages the game rather than turns it over they can beat anybody.

Trent Dilfer could easily take this team to the Super Bowl.
