You needed them in the kilts. Thats what they often wearing on the Saturday morning cartoons. Kind of more similar to the Monkees as far as marketing. There would be cartoons and then the Bay City Rollers singing that song in kilts. It's possibly the start of the trans movement. I guess they thought we'll start a Scottish Invasion.
