I guess I’m getting up to speed on this character for lulz
I don't remember. I didn't exactly sit there studying his shirtless pics when posted. I do remember noticing he was in good shape for over 40, though.
Again, this tweet from May 2 says so many things at the same time:

Not only does it chide Hellmuth for asking for an amateur to give him another $5,000 after the hand was over (ironic, huh?), but he also favorably compares himself to Hellmuth.
"Everything I do at the poker table (and life) is essentially the opposite of Helmuth, who is wildly famous, successful, and well-connected so what the hell do I know?"
Hellmuth, of course, is known for being rude, immature, and whiny at the poker table. He's known for investing in and promoting dodgy things outside of poker, such as UB and Bitcoin Latinum. Garrett wanted you to know, back on May 2, that despite both he and Hellmuth being highly successful pro players, he doesn't have the faults Hellmuth does. He's telling you to take everything you hate about Hellmuth, and know he's the opposite.
This is basically an obnoxious brag. It's saying, "Not only am I a great poker player, but unlike Hellmuth, but I'm a great human being and treat everyone with the utmost respect." Just sounds like too much self-back-patting, while pretending to be humble. If you're a great, empathetic guy, you don't need to keep reminding people of it.
I actually think it's refreshing to see pros show open emotion when losing (think Negreanu), because it's genuine. When we don't see that, and when everything is always positive, over-respectful, and happy, it feels unnatural -- and often is.
