Walmart's appointments are only two days out, but in my experience they open new slots up for next day at 3am cst. I bring Lid Totes with me and have the grocer load the groceries into them. Non-perishables stay in the totes for two days, I always wipe before use. While perishables get a wipe and put into my outside fridges and freezers for at least two days before use.
If they find out that using delivery for takeout or groceries has even a medium chance of transmission my family is screwed. We have done as good a job as posible staying at home but we have ordered in everything for the last four weeks.

The problem right now is that people are still buying too much toilet paper, paper towels, lysol products, hand wipes, hand sanitizer, etc.
Then most of the food like bread, soup, eggs, rice, pasta, water and certain frozen meals are sold out very quickly.
If you have someone over 65 years old with you, then you can go early to several stores like Walmart, Smith's, Costco or Whole Foods on certain days early in the morning.

I lose my taste always before I get a cold. Even a minor one. Probably every other year. There have been times its happened to me when I’m out at a nice restaurant and all of a sudden realize I might as well be eating a rice cake because I can’t taste what I just ordered. Of course the "two people" I talked about are anecdotal, but it's worth mentioning in the context of the "COVID has been here since December" theory, since it's something I personally observed. That's a lot more valid to me than reading thirdhand reports from strangers on Twitter.
There's so many unknowns here, and so much lying from China, that all reasonable possibilities need to be considered, even if only floated out as something to think about.
You have a reflexive angry reaction to anything you perceive to remind you of Republicans or Trump, especially related to this virus.
Even sonatine, who is about as opposite as right wing or Trump-supporting as you can get, has acknowledged that he also feels that COVID-19 being in the country in 2019 is a possibility.
I've heard this from some people, but none have described it as extreme as you're describing above. I've had people tell me they can taste less during a cold, but not that it disappears. I think you're in the minority with this one.Quote:

I've already posted this here before but I was sick as fuck, & sicker than I'd ever been in my life, in May 2018, May 2019 & again, but not nearly as bad, in Nov 2019 but I'm not gonna pretend it was Covid-19. My wife was convinced I had pneumonia, or something worse, & I needed to sleep in another room because my breathing problems were so bad.
I had every symptom except I was congested so it wasn't a dry cough IMO & maybe a few other small differences. The problem with antecdotal evidence is the same as eye-witness evidence in a capital murder case. It's unreliable because of unconscious bias. They want it to be true for some reason.
Also, most people are unwilling to admit they suffer from some underlying conditions that can make a cold or a flu strain worse for you like what happened to me. I refused to acknowledge that I was diagnosed with asthma in early 2011 & the first 2 times I let it get way, way too far before seeking medical help but the third time I was proactive & started using my asthma medications at the first signs & it wasn't nearly as bad although I did still miss a full week of work as a precaution.
My body just wasn't processing oxygen like it should have because of this condition. I believe a lot of people are developing these conditions due to pollution, allergies or direct low level exposure to something specific that we're not yet aware of their long term consequences. It's definitely the last 2 with me as I have always had allergies, although they are getting worse as I age, & been exposed to some things in my job that I now regret not being as careful as I should have been.

I have a question for you. What is the end game for you for this?
For example, I am quarantining myself, and social distancing and wearing a mask and washing my hands and all that. Being a good citizen to flatten the curve.
But I still expect I will get the disease at some point. I don't plan on doing this indefinitely, and when the world opens and I venture forth into it I am sure the virus will still be around the population and eventually I will get it.
It seems you have an endgame of actually never getting the virus, and I was curious what it is? Stay indoors with strict quarantining and hygiene until a vaccine in 1-2 years?

I saw some other video somewhere along similar lines of respiratory techniques that will mitigate the chance of developing pneumonia. I didn't even realize, but I guess there is a whole (legitimate) science of non pharmaceutical respiratory therapy. Probably not now, but under normal times patients in the hospital with pneumonia will actually have respiratory therapists walk them through it.Quote:
