He's better off
The left has been badly damaged by the Kirk assassination. Not so much because of a lone wingnut gunman but because of the celebrations by their stupid disciples at Kirk’s death. It’s hugely bad optics and the whole world is watching. So they are now firing these kooks from their jobs left and right. Their idiot underlings have no clue the damage they are doing to their movement. They are being purged so the left can try to present false sympathy to the public for Kirk’s killing.
I had know idea who he was. Captain James Kirk's kid?
The whole world is watching alright and have the economic and military strength to work without America who unilaterally chose this path.
Idk about Candace but this is pretty interesting.

They're seeking the death penalty, and he's going to get a court appointed attorney.
I am pretty sure they aren't going to take any pleas here, and are just going to go full force against him seeking death, given that there's no doubt he's guilty.
Here is the transcript of the text conversation between Tyler and his trans boyfriend:
Quote:
Robinson: drop what you are doing, look under my keyboard.
[When the roommate looked under the keyboard, there was a note that allegedly read: "I had the opportunity to take out Charlie Kirk and I'm going to take it."]
Roommate: "What?????????????? You're joking, right????
Robinson: I am still ok my love, but am stuck in orem for a little while longer yet. Shouldn't be long until I can come home, but I gotta grab my rifle still. To be honest I had hoped to keep this secret till I died of old age. I am sorry to involve you.
Roommate: you weren't the one who did it right????
Robinson: I am, I'm sorry
Roommate: I thought they caught the person?
Robinson: no, they grabbed some crazy old dude, then interrogated someone in similar clothing. I had planned to grab my rifle from my drop point shortly after, but most of that side of town got locked down. Its quiet, almost enough to get out, but theres one vehicle lingering.
Roommate: Why?
Robinson: Why did I do it?
Roommate: Yeah
Robinson: I had enough of his hatred. Some hate can't be negotiated out.
Robinson: If I am able to grab my rifle unseen, I will have left no evidence. Going to attempt to retrieve it again, hopefully they have moved on. I haven't seen anything about them finding it.
Roommate: How long have you been planning this?
Robinson: a bit over a week I believe. I can get close to it but there is a squad car parked right by it. I think they already swept that spot, but I don't wanna chance it
Robinson: I'm wishing I had circled back and grabbed it as soon as I got to my vehicle.... I'm worried what my old man would do if I didn't bring back grandpas rifle ... idek if it had a serial number, but it wouldn't trace to me. I worry about prints I had to leave it in a bush where I changed outfits. didn't have the ability or time to bring it with.... I might have to abandon it and hope they don't find prints. how the [expletive] will I explain losing it to my old man....
only thing I left was the rifle wrapped in a towel....
remember how I was engraving bullets? The [expletive] messages are mostly a big meme, if I see "notices bulge uwu" on fox new I might have a stroke alright im gonna have to leave it, that really [expletive] sucks.... judging from today I'd say grandpas gun does just fine idk. I think that was a $2k scope;-;
Robinson: delete this exchange
Robinson: my dad wants photos of the rifle ... he says grandpa wants to know who has what, the feds released a photo of the rifle, and it is very unique. Hes calling me rn, not answering.
Robinson: since trump got into office [my dad] has been pretty diehard maga.
Robinson: Im gonna turn myself in willingly, one of my neighbors here is a deputy for the sheriff.
Robinson: you are all I worry about love
Roommate: I'm much more worried about you
Robinson: don't talk to the media please. don't take any interviews or make any comments. ... if any police ask you questions ask for a lawyer and stay silent
There is some suspicion that this was pre-rehearsed so the roommate wouldn't get in trouble for any involvement.
The more I read it, the more it seems like that.
Absent from this chat is any kind of alarm from the roommate. He's acting like Robinson just told him he stole an iPhone from the Apple Store, rather than having committed one of the most high profile murders in modern US history.
Also, the conversation contains a lot of convenient exposition for the third party reader, so everyone can be "certain" that Tyler acted alone.
Notice that the roommate never expressed any shock, nor did he make any statements that their lives would both change forever, nor did he express any sadness either that their relationship can't continue, nor did he remark anything like, "How could you ever do something like this?"
Instead, it was just several matter-of-fact questions such as "Why?" and "How long have you been planning this?"
Picture you hear about a super high profile targeted murder, and then your girlfriend confesses to you that she did it. Would you act like the roommate in this exchange, or would you be freaking out? I have to imagine it would be the latter.
The other problem is that the roommate didn't make contact with police until they contacted him. Why? You can't even say that it was out of loyalty/love for Tyler, because the roommate comes off very unemotional about the entire situation, and cooperated big time with law enforcement.
This really does smell like a rehearsed text exchange. Unfortunately there's probably no way to prove it.

Ron Paul apparently asking the question? too tired to verify
LOL @ those text messages

Boring shit.
What the fuck is up with these turning point chapters on high school campuses.
In a civilized society the GOP would be out on their ass. So they got this massive propaganda outfit
infiltrating high schools with the message are you a gay tranny or a Republican. Barf!
How about neither,
The door is wide open for a closed border, anti genocide anti war democrat,
Oh, no!!!! The old lefty that claimed to be the shooter is a pedo. Tine, who’d a thunk it?

That guy is a lifelong GOP/Libertarian whack job known to everyone in those circles and why they immediately knew in Utah that it wasn’t him. He’s a right wind agitator usually arguing for more Libertarian positions in the GOP and has been for decades. Much like you are a full blown idiot and have been for decades.

This shows you how misinformation is working.
Three was a poll done of Americans regarding Tyler Robinson. It was done September 14, long after it was made clear he had become left wing in recent years, and a day after the news broke about the trans boyfriend.
Despite that, here were the numbers regarding beliefs about Tyler's political affiliation:
24% He's a Republican
21% He's a Democrat
15% He's neither
40% Not sure
Amazing that more people thought he was a Republican as recently as September 14, and that only 1/5 of the people polled had the correct answer (that his ideology most matched that of Democrats).
Of Democrats polled, 41% said he was a Republican, and only 8% said he was a Democrat!
Here's the full poll results: https://today.yougov.com/topics/inte.../09/15/d30fd/2
My Facebook feed is full of arrogant lefties proclaiming that Tyler was "MAGA", and laughing at the stupid right wingers who believe "MAGA misinformation" that he was actually on the left. Amazing.
I would have preferred if they phrased it "right wing" and "left wing" instead of "Republican" and "Democrat" (because one's party registration doesn't always match their ideology), but whatever... close enough.
Reminds me of this poll from late 2020, which also indicated the level of mainstream misinformation being pushed:

The correct answer was 1%.
I've heard the "single issue fanatic" theory, but I don't believe it.
There are indeed occasions where people will take the opposite side to their political party on one issue, and feel very strongly about it. For example, despite all of desertrunner's posts which are very similar to a lot of MAGA positions, he has indicated very strong feelings about supporting labor unions.
Could Tyler be the trans version of this -- where he was otherwise conservative, but was aligned with the left on trans issues, because he has a trans boyfriend?
I don't think so. This is because he has repeatedly stated an extreme disdain for both Kirk and Trump. The Kirk thing you could blame on the trans stuff. Indeed, Kirk has been very vocal about trans issues, and has repeatedly stated that he doesn't believe trans is a real thing, and that everyone with gender dysphoria should simply get psychological treatment to address their issue. Many in the trans community have stated Kirk wanted to "erase" them.
But Trump doesn't make the trans stuff a big issue. He goes through the conservative motions on it to please the base, but you can tell he has little passion for it. Trump's focus has always been economics, crime, and foreign policy, and other social issues don't interest him much. This gets lost in all the noise, but if you look closely, you'll see that Trump is one of the most pro-gay Republican politicians you've seen in recent years. He never mentions gay political issues, nor does he try to roll back any changes to gay rights in recent years.
There's no way Tyler would have hated Trump over the trans issue alone, as that just wasn't Trump's focus.
I've seen a single issue eventually cause an overall political transformation. In fact, I've seen it on both sides.
I knew a lifelong left winger in 2020 who was getting increasingly upset by how the left was handling COVID. They didn't like the shutdowns, they didn't like the panic-inducing propaganda, and they didn't like the hypocrisy where lockdown-happy politicians were caught breaking their own rules. This person got increasingly angry and agitated with their own party, calling them "anti-science" and "liars". Eventually they evolved to also question the left on racial issues, and were frustrated with the support of the BLM riots. This person basically went from "I disagree with my party on COVID" to "I also disagree with them on race issues" to "I don't like MAGA but I'm starting to understand some of their points" to "I don't fit in with either party" to "I think I'm a Republican now".
I saw the reverse evolution with certain Never-Trump moderate Republicans. It went from "Trump is horrible and we really need a different candidate for 2016" to "It's frustrating me how many formerly sane Republicans are kissing Trump's ass" to "I'm conservative but I can't support a party rallying around Trump" to "The present GOP is a bunch of racist homophobes" to "I'm voting Democrat in protest to what the GOP has become" to daily Facebook posts with far-left talking points. Laughably, this person still says they haven't changed and they are just opposing the Trump-led GOP, despite all of their views nearly exactly matching the modern left, and most of their posts being from far-left pages such as "Occupy Democrats" and "The Other 98%".
It would not surprise me if the trans issue made young Tyler question everything he had previously believed about politics, and presumably through the influence of his trans and furry friends, suddenly found fault with everything Republicans believed, to the point where it got him extremely angry.
