This was a hilarious prank call by Captain Janks, who pretended to be Philadelphia Mayor Rendell congratulating her on her show appearing in the Philly market, and once he got put on (and introduced as Mayor Rendell), he said, "Howard Stern says you're a fat pig, you know that?"
By the time Rosie realized it was a prank and cut him off, she was fuming. Apparently she went to break and screamed at her staff for allowing this to happen.

As an Irish citizen myself, I can confirm for you that Donegal is most assuredly located in the Republic of Ireland. Also, since it's her parent that is irish born, she's already recognized by the Republic as a citizen. She just has to claim it. Unlikely that your source (i can't find any source for the info you posted) is correct.

Genealogy is my hobby and I watch shows like Genealogy Roadshow, Finding Your Roots, and Who Do You Think You Are? I seen Rosie on WDYTYA about 10 years ago.
