Rio to stop being a Caesars property as of October 2, 2023
Rio was bought in 2019 by Dreamscape Companies LLC (which didn't previously own any casinos).
However, it was leased back to Caesars for the past four years, with the WSOP continuing to run there through 2021. Up until now, the change in ownership was not apparent to the customer, as it continued to be a Caesars Rewards property, operating as it did before.
That will change next week, as it will completely change programs and operation on October 2. All Caesars Rewards cards and benefits will become invalid there, and will have to be utilized/redeemed/earned at the other Caesars properties in Vegas. In its place, a brand new program called Rio Rewards will start.

We are writing to inform you of an upcoming change to the management of Rio Las Vegas. On October 2, 2023, property management responsibilities will transfer from Caesars Entertainment to Dreamscape Companies for the Rio Las Vegas. You can look forward to a new loyalty program called Rio Rewards at the Rio Las Vegas as well as your continued Caesars Rewards® loyalty program at all Caesars Entertainment resorts in Las Vegas (Caesars Palace, Harrah’s, Horseshoe, Paris, Flamingo, the Cromwell, THE LINQ Hotel + Experience, and Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino) and across the United States.
Caesars Entertainment and Dreamscape Companies are working together to ensure a seamless transition for you. Our goal is to keep you fully informed throughout the coming months. Below are a few aspects of the transition as they relate to the loyalty programs:
• Your Caesars Rewards card and balances are still valid at all Caesars Rewards properties, including the Caesars Rewards properties located center strip in Las Vegas.
• Your Caesars Rewards benefits and offers remain unchanged and will still be honored at all Caesars Rewards properties.
• Caesars Rewards balances, including Great Gift Wrap-Up Points, Reward Credits®, Tier Credits, Tier Score® and Tier Status, will not transfer to Rio Rewards.
• Rio will continue to honor select marketing offers such as room, Casino Play, and dining credits.
• Rio will not honor Caesars Rewards Tier Benefits or entertainment offers.
• After the transition date to request a booking at any Caesars Rewards property, you can call 1-800-CAESARS
Rest assured that Rio Las Vegas will continue to uphold its exceptional standard of service for many years to come.
