The future of online poke traffic

    Guys,

Granted I'm just a competent MTT rec player but...

I only see traffic declining from here on out..

No one even knows poker still exists on any level and no one even knows how to play poker any more..

No one is even interested in learning.

It's just the same old leftover,s complaining the game isn't tilted enough in there favor..

I'm enthusiastic about poker. Don't mind losing a little here and there and even I!! don't play anymore..

I took a $10 bonus on b.o.l. so I can't withdraw unless I rake thousand$.. so why bother even playing. In essence that's just straight crooked.

A.c.r. theis just the same grinders/ with all there 3rd party software..

No one new plays anymore and no one wants too learn or is interested.

Poker Stars is the only chance.. period.
There the only ones who make it fun, interesting and can attract a rec..

    From new York.. I
    Good by poker..

If you look from the bubble perspective of the USA your right.. Thanks to UIGEA and the puritanical assholes like Sheldon its taken a serious hit.. I would argue though its booming outside of the USA.. Inspite of what happened in Australia even the market is this.. Population of the world isn't shrinking at the moment and technology is expanding to further nad further remote locations.. Don't laugh but thanks to the rich little shit who runs FB the African poker boom is coming.. I know seems stupid but if the Nigerian 419ers can figure out how to collude and playpoker online with the money they've gotten through idiot fraud suckers here int he US and others who think they are going to get that massive windfall.. Hell wouldn't even surprise me none if they are already up to it.. The fact is bringing internet into remote areas which at least have electricity will actually bring players.. whats there to do in the middle of no mans land.. don't need massive super pipes to run a poker client online.. Not to mention as a whole population growth by definition increases by avg pct that given population increase the number of poker players even recs especially will increase.. Cambodia has been developing some interesting gambling stuff lately I tripped over the info by accident while reading some stuff on a HYIP forum I frequent.. They are offering online casino including live dealer stuff to customers via White label up to even call center customer service.. (my suspicion is with the massive crackdown under Duerte in the Phillipines the gambling operations could be moving from there to Cambodia as a more open option).. Heres a link to what I found earlier today http://www.asialivetech.com/products...dealer-casino/
Now larry or somebody might be able to ascertain if this operation is the same one that got canned by BetOnLine over the big Blackjack fiasco that occurred and was all over the net a few weeks ago.

My whole point in my ramble is this.. I agree PS is the king of the mountain out there but theres a lot of underground online poker as well going on (private sites running PokerMavens are a prime example and they are in places such as the Middle East that frown on this crap.. Could they be fronts for terrorists yeah that's also possible I'm guessing but the sites are set up for deposits and withdrawals and use local currency as reference). Its hard to say if you ask me how many players are truly playing online in unmetered and unreported markets.. We see the numbers on such they appears to be down but again newer and emerging markets to me make me believe its no where being as DOA as many think..

I agree to some of your premise and some is just a real stretch as far as poker is concerned...

Hey!,. I still want to believe William shattner will play captain Kirk just one more time and find all kind of ways to rationalize it..

My only concern is u.s.a poker as I'm sure the majority of posters here.. everything else is a mute point or way out in the distant future..

Not many people are interested or have the time or excess income to play around with poker and those involved/trash in it.

It really has been officially killed in the u.s.a. and no prospects of substantial growth even if they legalized it in all 50 states..

The only Chance is rec friendly poker stars and that ain't happening..
The other sites are just traps for recs under the pretense of playing poker which will just turn off newbies..

    Interesting stuff

There was a limit poker pro from Massachusetts who used to post here about stuff other than Tebow.

He appeared to be the king of "off the beaten path" but juicy sites. He was a bit reluctant to spoil his good thing so he was vague in his discussion.

Someday he'll do another podcast - after the Chad Elie interview I imagine. Lol.

    Long time sanlamar ..

Megalomania and delusion s of grandeur aside..

I truly believe that if a site can attract a player like me, it's best for everyone...

Acr. Doesn't do that nor does b.o.l....

It would have to be poker stars and ignition is kinda in the rigri path but not there either. I'm sure druff could/has speak/spoken to that... I would at least give ignition a try if it were in new York.

    No one has the time..

No one wants to deposit when the minute they sit down they get gang banged by seat scripter / bum hunters ect. Ect ect.

The only site that I can honestly say that I would have no guilt or felt grimmy for making another deposit would be poker stars type of mentality..

I don't play anymore really and the couple of people I know that did really don't either...

They will take there wives to the casino every c couple of months , get drunk spend a few bucks on slots and come back broke but satisfied..

Online poker as it is in America doesn't allow for that whether illegal or legal..

In new York I see the occasional commercial for Jersey online slots but have not seen a poker advertisement for poker in a very very long time..

So basically what I'm saying is that no poker stars = no poker growth,, only decline..

At the very least there a 3 people I know that should be playing but don't..

    1. Friend father..
    Late 50,s early 60,s

Watches wpt religiously.. goes to casino to play slots and maybe some video poker.

Will not play any online poker or even $20 a month for club wpt..

    2. My cousin in Jersey and her husband.
    Early 50,s .both Highly educated.

They will actually spend $99.00 on a play chip package to play social poker but will not play real online poker.

Would not even want to just play a free roll on a legal site in Jersey or have any curiosity to check it out..????

    3. A friend.
    Early 40,s

Plays a little fantasy sports and has a bookie for the occasional sport bet as well.

Plays $20 a day on n.y. daily numbers..

Enjoys watching wpt occasionally or will rail with me occasionally but no interest in making a small deposit and play a little..

WHO IS KINDA LEFT FOR ONLINE POKER TO ATTRACT??
