Increase the interactive aspect one click.

You give the webcam the ability to move - about the room. People will lose sense of time with increased involvement. Actress reacts to camera movement etc., etc.

Cheap motion should be possible. Little refinement = binkage?

I havent done any research but I was considering being an early desktop 3d printer adopter until I discovered that 3d imaging tech sucked right now. Id expect that this product is just trying to leverage those APIs and people are considering holding off until the base tech matures.

edit: disregard that i suck cocks.

this doesnt appear related to 3d imaging tech at all.

I think it would be really cool if it worked, and I think guys would put up with the obnoxious device if they could really have 3-D cam sex.

However, I am suspicious that early versions of this will be an epic fail and be full of bugs, choppiness, ghosting, and basically be useless.

Yeah, that's actually what happened to 3D TV. Not enough people bought it, so it became a failure.

HDTV also went this way for its first few years, but finally caught traction.

HDTV also had regulatory mandates guaranteeing analog OTA would end, ensuring its eventual success.
