Yes you read it right. If I had to do it over again I would jam on the turn and if he had the straight I would still have outs.
The lesson for me is to always play the same way. What I did was factor in his age, and do I really want to go out on the 5th hand. I was playing scared and that is bad. Smaller tournaments at home I would snap call.
It was an old guy 65 years old. The next few hands he played at show down he showed the nuts every time.
