Snow on I-15 in Baker, CA on the way to Vegas

I know Druff and I have separately done this drive many times over the last 20-25 years, the I-15 to Vegas. This is and always will be one of my favorite road trips. But I just saw the snow video showing the drive from Baker to Vegas and wish I could have done the drive in person.

Also, parts of the I-15 were even shut down.

Anyways, love the snow scenery and drive.

This is weird because I drove it just a few hours later, and it looked nothing like this.

There was zero snow below 4500 feet, and a little bit on the side at 4500-4700 (with 4700 being the peak elevation between Vegas and LA).

I got off at an exit around there, and there was maybe 2 inches of snow on the ground, once you got away from the freeway. Benjamin enjoyed playing in it for about 30 minutes, but there wasn't even enough to make a snowman.

Maybe a lot of it melted in those few hours? Weird, because it was still in the 30s, and the sun was blocked throughout most of the day.

Did the drive between Palm Springs and Vegas a few times. Last trip I received a ticket was on some side road there where a copter nailed me and a trooper then got me.

Also ate at Bun Boy many years ago in Baker. Long gone now I understand.
