The Detroit Pistons have won 5 games in a row after telling Josh Smith to gtfo. They still suck obv but just saying.
This streak will likely come to an end next game playing the Spurs and then Mavs the following night.
"Hey man... Remember how your boy was just out partying with our owners???"
One other thing they mentioned during this penalty, this crew has never worked together before. How the hell does that happen for a playoff game?
Fix was in.
BTW, isn't Dez Bryant running out on the field without a helmet on a penalty as well?
Standard stuff. Each official gets rated for every game/call during the season. They put the playoff crew together at the end of the season, the best rated officials at each position, as opposed to using the best rated crews, which seems like it would be a decently better idea.
on the ref tip, probably my favorite thing I've ever read from Peter King, this is worthwhile if you never read it.

1-1 so far on the day.
Need Indy to win for me to go 2-1. Right now looking good at 63-54. Both teams shooting like shit. Wish I had the under. 5 mins left in the 3rd.
The Lakers seem to have become much more of an "under" team in recent times, but one thing you can count on is how much they suck.
I will say that I've noticed that the Lakers get "up" for good teams and often cover against them, but against middling and below-average teams, they don't seem to beat the spread.
Fucking Lakers are coming back. Were down 13 in the late 3rd, then went on a big run and suddenly it was tied. Now 77-74 after a near fight between Hibbert and Boozer.
Really weird situation where Boozer was given a flagrant foul for shoving Hibbert, and Hibbert given a T for retaliating, so Lakers got 1 technical FT followed immediately by Hibbert getting 2 regular free throws. All 3 were made.
Lakers now up by 1 with 12 secs left.
Why are the Pacers so good when I bet against them, and so terrible when I bet on them?
This sucks now, because even if Pacers score, I prob only tie.
Edit: I lost.
Was 55-48-4 coming into yesterday.
Brutal last two days though, going 2-5, taking my record down to 57-53-4.
Sadly I'm just 24-29-1 in my last 54 picks, after a promising 33-24-3 start.
Looks like it's getting harder as the season is moving along.
fucking lions.
Honestly if I continue to slump, I will take a break from betting NBA.
Cleveland -4 -115 at Philly - I realize there's no Lebron and the Cavs have sucked, but this is Philadelphia we're talking about -- a team which has looked every bit as terrible lately as their record indicates.
Dallas -6 at Brooklyn - Both teams playing back-to-back, but Brooklyn's recent winning ways (6-2) have been 5 times against lousy squads, with their road win over Chicago the lone exception. Dallas is 25-10 and has won 5 in a row.
Denver -4 at Minnesota - Similar to the Cleveland/Philly game, this is a contest of bad versus awful, where the "bad" is still far superior. Denver just crushed Memphis in a blowout in their last game, by the way, and the T-Wolves have dropped 11 straight.
Golden State -2.5 vs. OKC - The public loves OKC here, pushing the line down. I'm not sure why. The Warriors have righted the ship and have won 3 in a row, and are 26-5 overall. OKC, while no longer suffering from injuries, still isn't looking dominant. They lost to Dallas a week ago, had to go to OT versus Phoenix, and scratched out a home win against Washington when being tied after 3 quarters. I haven't seen a game yet where the Thunder looked dominant against a good team. Here they are on the road against the best team in the NBA thus far.
Indiana/Utah - Over 185.5 - While neither team is known for its high scoring, both have put up several 100+ point games recently, and few where they really get shut down. Despite that, this 185.5 line is one of the lowest totals you'll see in an NBA game. I don't think it's justified.
Bet all 5, but I am sick of the crap lines Bovada gives.
I run really bad with it. Even when I am taking the "sharp" side, somehow still Bovada has the worse line for me, or equivalent to Vegas. Rarely do I get the advantage of the better line. (I am aware that today I probably have the square side of all of these, though.)
Going to sign up for another book.
Anyway, I bet:
Dallas -6 -115
Cleveland -4.5 -105
Indiana/Utah - Over 185 -115
Golden State -3 -105
Denver -4 -115
Good luck Druff!
Sorry I'm late to the day but I only looked at one game that tips soon. Washington playing bad on their road trip. Pelicans two days rest.
I doubt anyone will see before tip but Pelicans -3 Maybe get on at halftime if Washington is with a few points or ahead.
Edit: A lot of sharps on Boston for unknown reasons. They are behind 15-4. Not like that matters a ton. Honestly as of now I only really have strong reads on Pelicans, Suns, and Kings. Things change throughout season though.
re edit: Ended up taking Pelicans -1.5 first half for whatever reason. Might take more at halftime.

If i had money online now, I'd hop all over Portland -12.5, homer pick but lakers without Kobe and Wes Johnson and no one who can contain Lillard. Blazers have trounced the last 2 "weak" teams theyve faced at home.
