Unless you’ve worked in retail, you’ve probably never heard of it. If you have worked in retail, then you know that sometimes, if you will, shit gets real. For some unfathomable reason, people poop in retail clothing stores, particularly in fitting rooms and inside the circular clothing racks called “rounders,” but other times they’ll just do it in a corner or, perversely, on the floor right next to the toilet.

When I was in college, I worked as a bellhop part-time. It was one of the snazzier hotels in town, and the pay was pretty good. We used to get all sorts of high-profile folks passing through too. Politicians, musicians, actors, you name it. It was pretty neat meeting some of them, but most of them were lousy tippers believe it or not.

One time when I came into work, I saw Bill Murray walk out of the lobby bathroom and toward the front desk to checkout. He gave me the old head-nod and wink. What a nice fella, I thought. A lot of these celebrities won't even give you the time of day. I needed to take a piss myself, so I went into the bathroom and couldn't believe what I saw. A fresh turd in the sink. Motherfucker. I wasn't gonna clean that up.

So I walked back out to the lobby and glared at him. He just gave me a blank stare. But he knew. He knew that I saw what he did. Sick fuck.
