A few months ago, poker player Sashimi, an Asian female who only speaks limited English, tweeted a warning to a person who had apparently just stolen her bag at Bellagio.

She told them to bring it back, and that she knew who they were. She said she would call the police if they didn't return the bag.

Later that day, she removed the tweet. She did not explain what the result was.

I publicly asked what happened, but she didn't respond, and I got some idiot (who didn't really know her) hassling me for "trying to create drama and farm engagement". The guy insisted that she obviously took it down because it must have been some mistake, or that she got the bag back. I countered that she should really post an update, given that she made it public in the first place, and given the large amount of money involved.

Now we do have an update, albeit something like 4 months later. She does not have the bag back, and it isn't clear why she deleted that other tweet at the time.

By the way, in case you haven't figured it out, "Parse" means "purse". As I said, English is her second language.

I offered to assist, but she hasn't DM'd me yet.

Weird, huh?

I wonder what the story is here.
