This is a thread for the ages. No sub categories i.e. plays an instrument etc.
This is not even my number one but god help us all how perfect?

Good topic.
The GOAT?
Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin.
Michael Jackson, Freddie Mercury, Prince, Steven Tyler, David lee Roth strictly based on ability to sing and nothing else.
one of the ones I never got to see, to my eternal lament.
one of the ones I got to see plenty of times, and without whom my handle would certainly be very different.

This is just my opinion. Obv there are endless talents out there. But I'm referencing the total
package. Voice, song and stage presence with a preference for the latter
For instance Crazy on You....Heart. Great song, unreal vocals, stage show not so much.
Alternatively this. Not the greatest song, not the greatest voice but still

RIP
Steve Perry of Journey.
My vote goes to Freddie Mercury. Incredible stage presence and charisma, and for his vocal abilities, I submit Exhibit A:
not sure about stage presence but worth a mentiion
The teacher

Great thread and I would be disingenuous by posting someone here. You guys know a shit ton more than I do. I noticed Jagger is not mentioned on this thread. Is this a known thing? Is it sort of settled that he is known for his stage presence more than his pipes?
I am a child of the nineties. Kurt Cobain and Eddie Vedder good enough for an honorable mention? I always really dug Chris Cornell’s voice. Maybe it was his personal demons that held him back. Great voice but not nearly the charisma and stage presence of most of the people you all posted.
Thanks again!
