    Frontier Airlines: GOWILD! ALL-YOU-CAN-FLY PASS™ ($499)

Some people could really get Value out of $499 All you Can Fly (1 year) on Frontier

Don’t see it as a value, other than for a limited few with all the restrictions such as being only available a day before departure for domestics.

And after all that, it’s still Frontier you are stuck on.

If it were unrestricted then this would be attractive. I can deal with a lousy flight, unlike some of you softies, but having to pay an early booking fee or not know whether or not you'll be able to fly until the day before you want to leave makes it iffy.

Thanks for posting it though, Garrett. I'm traveling to Sarasota in March and haven't decided yet if I'm driving or flying so I might do the current one for $399 if they go all the places I'm planning on stopping.

Yeah too many things about this suck, unless you’re super flexible in plans, fly where they go, don’t mind that they are a shit airline with cramped seats, and you’re considered the low man on the totem pole.

If you’re poor and want to travel places, I guess this also isn’t bad.

In general I recommend staying away from discount products and services, if you can help it.

The democratization of air travel was an unanticipated and unfortunate side effect of deregulation.

I suppose Americans need a way to get to their cruise ship tho.

It’s only white trash and blacks that go on Cruise Ships, might want to look into that.

You’re new. I’ve got a 20 minute set I do about cruise ships. My last cruise ended a week or two before the pandemic. Never again. Never.

Surprised nobody needled in on what I first noticed, WHILE SUPPLIES LAST

So they gave themself a few outs here actually intelligently because like my view, this is a FANTASTIC deal for a Super Flexible NOT Picky person, especially Traveling EAST (Florida...) to WEST!

Like Bitcoin, LIMITED Supply only so many exist then its gone poof (and when they say interestingly enough) GREAT deal glgl

Famously the Mark Cuban unlimited American Airlines pass was a cash raise offered out of desperation by that airline.

Wonder what’s going on with Frontier if anything?

Nothing. This was actually genius on their part.

    Frontier realized that:

    - Some people are poor and/or cheap

    - Sometimes their flights go off with empty seats

    - There must be some way to monetize these empty seats, rather than just wasting them

So you introduce an "unlimited" pass, with the very important restriction that you can't book more than 24 hours in advance, unless you pay a stiff "early booking" fee.

This can be great for college students who want to fly home for the weekend, poor people who have free places to stay in other cities but the airline component makes traveling a nonstarter, and cheapskates who don't mind massively inconveniencing themselves.

I've advised people to stay away from this, unless they can identify a clear need for it (such as the aforementioned college student).

Some Frontier flights have 28-inch pitch seats, which are terrible, even if you're an average height male of 5'10". If you're my height, forget about it.

Some Frontier flights do have a normal economy pitch of 31, which is more tolerable.

You can also buy extra legroom, but of course once you're doing that, why are you even bothering with Frontier? Also, zero chance that will be available 24 hours before the flight.

I will still fly Frontier occasionally (solo) to Denver if the price difference is like $150-200.

Reason being all domestic airlines are terrible and I just listen to podcasts or watch something on my iPad. Also have excellent run good on jumping around to find empty seats to.spread out a bit more on Frontier.

100% this 'unlimited' thing fails for just about everyone outside.of the blackout dates. It's an awful airline but I expect nothing.

That merger fell apart, Jet Blue is currently in agreement to purchase Spirit, pending DOJ approval. Which won’t be easy as the Feds are concerned about higher fares if Spirit goes away.
