This has been the strangest weather year in California and Nevada that I've ever seen.
There's pretty much been a cold spell for 5 months. Almost every single day in 2019 has below average in temperature, most days substantially below average.
I'm still running the heat here in late May.
Las Vegas also had the coldest winter anyone has remembered, and after a period of seemingly warming up, now it's surprisingly cool there again, too.
Vegas also had measurable snow on 5 different days in 2019, when almost all years see nothing more than flurries.
It snowed in my area in February as well, though my house didn't get any. However, we did have many consecutive nights below freezing, and most days in the winter didn't reach 60 degrees here, when the usual weather sees highs in the mid-upper 60s or warmer.
