You’re going to love the whole experience I’m sure and be all in. My biggest fear would be that it isn’t with some term girlfriend. Clearly having your kid is going to be a windfall for her. Hopefully it’s all happily ever after, but I’d be seeking some type of legal agreement about access and trying to strike a deal about where she resides if possible.

Not being a kid, you’re going to probably really embrace this whole thing, and it would be crushing if she took your money and moved half way across the country with your kid. I don’t know that you can avoid that, but I’d be trying to find out if I could get ahead of that.

But yes, some agreement being in place voluntarily might be the way to go if he chooses not to have a relationship with her (or if he tries and it starts to fail).
