One thing that is going around amongst locals is that there was a woman that fought her way up to the front of the crowd last night before this all went down and was telling people "you are all going to die". Supposedly there is video of this floating around although I haven't seen it.

Also, lots of people around town feel more shit happened last night than is being reported. I don't buy into this too much, but a pretty solid guy I know in the security world (not jsearles type of security, real security) is saying there is something very odd going on on the strip today. He said it just seems like a lot more went down judging by the way everything is sectioned off and the amount of searches going on.

It's a very down vibe everywhere right now, which obviously is to be expected. If you've lived here for a while considering the numbers it's likely you'll be touched by this in one way or another. I had friends and employees there, and like I said, I left Caesars about an hour before this all went down, and my mom literally drove on LV Blvd right in between where it happened after we left Caesars. Can't help but be shaken up about this. I've been through a lot in my life... Been pistol whipped, held up at gun point twice, jumped numerous times, but for some reason this just bothers me so much more. Just the vulnerability now of being in large crowds is something I can't get out of my head whenever I go out to an event. Literally had this exact conversation over dinner last night right before this happened. I had just gone to Bill Burr Friday night at the Park Theater and just kept thinking about how vulnerable we were. Same thing was in my head at Chappelle. Something like this was literally only a matter of time, and I've thought this for a long time. Knowing what I know about hotel security, without getting into too much detail, it definitely leaves a lot to be desired. I walked into the casino that I worked at for many years and couldn't ever believe how lax the security was at employee entrances, in garages, etc..

Luckily none of my family, friends, or employees were hit. I have one employee that got trampled last night, but she is ok. Freaked out big time, but alive.

Glad to hear you are ok man. For me it is the familiarity of Vegas , lack of motive thus far, as well as how it was carried out that is getting me. If I had lost someone important to me to something like this, I wouldn't be able to recover. I would just give up.

58 dead but people sometimes forget what "injured" means. People could be permanently brain damaged, lost limps and so much more. And even if you weren't injured, this isnt "safe space" BS trauma but real trauma that you have to deal with the rest of your life.

A cop from one of the Indian Reservations and his wife were up there.. Shes in critical condition after being shot and everything points to her not making it.. The death toll is going to go up theres no doubt..

I'm certainly not buying that he did this because he was so mad about losing money gambling. The problem isn't the fact of gun control or no gun control, the problem is that a guy went nuts. I live in Vegas and have a few friends that were injured badly in this.

What surprises me is why didn't he take something like a M82 that will do property damage and shoot at aircraft on approach or something from that vantage point. It wouldn't be a hard thing to do, and he would have had shots and time.

I have no clue what his networth is etc, I do know the neighborhood that his homes where in and they are not cheap.

I do know what the firearms values are as far as what I have heard and the real number is much less than 100k, that is UNLESS he had true NFA weapons and not just a pair of AK's that were modified. Now he did have a legit gatling gun, registered M4, M249 SAW etc then easily each of those are 10-35k plus a 9 month wait on getting your tax stamp.
