Just when I thought the majority of Generation Y males couldn't become larger pussies than they already are.

Saw a bunch of "men" in their late 20s running around this weekend hunting for imaginary characters. They were literally sprinting in search of whatever the fuck this shit is.

I actually downloaded the Pokeman App this AM , as I wanted to see what the big deal is. I lasted about 10 mins and then had to go back to something productive.

I often say " I must be getting old" as I dont understand why people younger than me like some of the shit they do. For example, the terrible DJ music in vegas that idiots pay 10k + a table for or that electric daisy glow stick bullshit. But this is different as there are actually grown men (people near my age) running around looking for these characters and getting so excited about it. I have never seen anything like it., It is truly pathetic.

Agree completely. Everyone nowadays wants to stay in this suspended state of childhood. It's pathetic. This manifests itself with the extreme popularity of comic book movies as well.

There is a difference between being a world famous author and engaging in "non adult activities" and a 29 yr old that still lives at home , has no job, and is running around downtown looking for a kick ass lvl 29 ice dragon.

Some may be monetizing their gameplay on social media, but my guess is that the vast majority of them are just taken up by this lastest fad even if employed.

Yet another farcical trend that will end in obscurity. I feel nothing but disdain for any classless dork playing this game. I rather read a Goya biography or scan through Velasquez's masterpieces before even thinking about playing video games. From early on, my parents instilled in me that the Japanese people were perpetual charlatans who created these distractions with the cynical intention of impairing childhood development eveywhere around the world, except japan. Shares of Nintendo Co (7974.T) tumbled as much as 18 percent early on Monday after the company said smash-hit mobile game Pokemon GO would have only a limited impact on its earnings.

Nintendo said after the market closed on Friday that it had already factored in anticipated revenues from its Pokemon GO Plus device - an accessory worn on the wrist to alert players of nearby monsters to catch - and that it had no plans to revise its annual earnings forecasts for now.

Nintendo said its affiliate Pokemon Co receives licensing and fees from the game's developer, Niantic Inc, and that profits at Nintendo from those revenues would be limited.

The company, which owns 32 percent of Pokemon Co, is due to report first-quarter earnings on Wednesday.

The phenomenal success of Pokemon GO has triggered massive buying in Nintendo shares and even with Monday's decline, the shares are still up some 60 percent compared with levels prior to the game's July 6 launch in the United States, Australia and New Zealand.

Nintendo shares were down 17.6 percent in mid-morning trade, a slide of 4,965 yen - just shy of the daily limit of 5,000 yen for the stock.
