It would be nice to see common sense among floor staff you'd think as long as poker tourneys have been running and the TDA book does exist it should be straight forward but somehow I think poker room favorites get the benefit of the doubt at times because they help pay the bills (rake) which brings us to
Less rake?? Would be nice but not gonna hold my breath. Poker is honestly whether we like it or not a net negative to casinos in a way. They tolerate poker players because they can charge 10-15% overhead on tourneys and stupid shit on cash games because Casinos exist to make money not serve the degens at the table. Not to mention they hope those who do make money at the tables turn around and dump it in the pits or on VP and Slots.

For sure they need a shot clock at WSOP.
They also need zero tolerance for belligerent assholes who make it unpleasant for everyone at the table.
This isn't a huge problem at the WSOP, but I've seen some ridiculous situations where the player should have been disqualified long before things got out of hand. For example, if someone threatens violence or asks someone to fight him, he should immediately be kicked from the tournament.
They did reform the penalty situation at the WSOP to turn it into an escalating penalty system for each player, which was an improvement.
Some of you might remember that I was given a penalty on Day 6 of the freakin' Main Event of all things, because I accidentally exposed my cards when I incorrectly thought the hand was over. To penalize someone for a 1-time, mostly-harmless accident like that, deep in a major tournament is horrendous.
Strangely, Theo Tran got the same penalty for the same thing, within minutes of when I did (at a different table).
