"Our intention is to never to lie to you...just make up our own facts."
-Sean Spicer (the current White House Press Secretary and Communications Director for President Donald Trump)
As part of the Trump administration's makeover of WhiteHouse.gov since Friday, it has deleted the Obama administration's climate change page, deleted LGBTQ rights page, deleted pages devoted to net neutrality, open government and the Office of Science and Technology Policy.
Also just after President Trump took office at noon on Friday, WhiteHouse.gov/espanol went dark, with an error message explaining that “the page you’re looking for can’t be found.”
NO HABLA ESPANOL
He got totally softballed for the first 30 minutes without receiving a single question on his bizarre claims about inauguration stats. Then finally a journalist shows some balls and asks the question what we were all tuned in to watch. But despite the journo having two full days to corner his rat with a correctly and directly worded question. He completely froze instead and allowed Spicer to remain unaccountable from the other day.
A CNN guy did try again but the damage was done and Spier got away scot free.
A really poor show from so-called hard hitting journalists.
Shoutout to the British journo from Sky News who laid on her back before asking Spiser to tickle her belly with a beyond cringeworthy UK/US 'special relationship' question. I genuinely wanted to curl up at that point.
So yes he performed better. But only with the help from a shithouse press corp.

The spread of technology alone tells us that it was likely the most viewed inauguration ever. No disagreement from me there.
That's not what he's been getting called out over though. He specifically stated with great vigour that it was "highest attended" inauguration EVER, period.
He literally became a worldwide laughing stock because of THOSE claims, NOT the overall viewing figure claims.
It was a mixture of bad journalism and clever wording by Spicer how he took the direction of question away from 'attended' to 'overall'.
They should've crucified the cunt.
Btw. imo the whole thing is a total farce. Who cares if fewer people turned up than for the first black president? Nonsensical argument. But it was Trump/Spicer who were hellbent on kicking up a shitstorm.
Right.
Or the ten year reacted to the latest Mortgage numbers.
Or some asshole at Goldman got an advance copy of this months 30 year supply
Or the Pound Sterling weakened because the Brexit is really going to happen
Or a Rothschild let slip that the fed is going to raise rates a quarter point 2 moths earlier than expected.
Or the market thinks the initial Trump bump is over and is caused a market timing related flight to safety
Or.... or.... or.....
This is no better than the Obama doubled the debt point in time arguement.
arguing with tine over what's going on in the market is like arguing with Todd over leaving a tip larger than 15%. Tine is right, until proven wrong, then his playbook says to deflect and move onward to something else he can point at and pretend like he is knows something everyone else doesn't. Tine from what I hear and what I've seen over a decade on these forums is a very smart and educated guy, but take his "market" color with a gain of salt. He nor anyone else has any clue wtf is going to happen. The $ weakening slightly can be driven by Trump or can be driven by the fact that the rally was WAYYY over done and now people are profit taking. Either can be the catalyst, but what tine does best is that he'll throw that out there and if he's right he'll be a GOD and if he's wrong no one will remember and he'll just move on to the next thing... or pull a bitcoin and say "reverse wormhole, I knew it would rally and now I am an expert on its market moves".
TL;DR Tine Is GOD... until he's not, but he still is?

Trump had a bunch of top Republican Congressional leaders over for dinner tonight. These people have virtually total control over the country.
Did they talk about middle class jobs? No.
Did they talk about health insurance? No.
Did they talk about social security? No.
They talked about how Trump would have won the popular vote if 5 million illegal immigrants hadn't voted. It clearly drives Trump crazy that he didn't win the literal popularity contest.
so there is a freeze on government hiring for most agencies...that includes the IRS, which has been understaffed in the small business/self employed department for years: that department's target group's already had a remote risk of audit, and the risk has gotten even smaller now

Imagine how much that was worth before Trump started to tank the value of the dollar.

Remember Ted Cruz campaigned on eliminating the IRS, the whole reason was so Mercer, his biggest donor could skip out on paying his enormous tax bill aka socialism for the rich. Mercer then joined team Trump and is credited with giving Trump the win. Plus who knows how much Trump owes in taxes, gg IRS.

Meet Ted Cruz’s Tax-Dodging Sugar Daddy
Cruz rails against ‘crony capitalism’—and counts a CEO under investigation for unpaid billions in taxes as a mega-donor. Awwwwwkward.
[B]04.10.15 2:15 AM ET
Hedge fund CEO Robert Mercer is all in for the conservative Texas Republican Ted Cruz, and the billionaire will have unusually substantial influence in how his contributions get spent.
But the billionaire also has some baggage—like, the avoiding billions in taxes kind of baggage.
His alleged failure to pay those taxes led to substantial congressional scrutiny in 2014—and it’s not clear the investigation is over.
This, and some of Mercer’s side projects, could present interesting challenges for Cruz’s campaign. Especially since Cruz has been a vocal opponent of those who “give favors to Wall Street” and engage in “crony capitalism.”
On the one hand, Mercer’s support is fantastic for Cruz for all the obvious reasons (having a billionaire in your corner is nice). On the other hand, Mercer’s hedge fund—Renaissance Technologies—recently faced an unflattering congressional investigation, the results of which indicated that it used complex and unorthodox financial structures to dramatically lower its tax burden. This drew scorching bipartisan criticism from investigators on the Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations.
“Renaissance profited from this tax treatment by insisting on the fiction that it didn’t really own the stocks it traded—that the banks that Renaissance dealt with, did,” said Sen. John McCain during a hearing on the issue, per Mother Jones. “But, the fact is that Renaissance did all the trading, maintained full control over the account…and reaped all of the profits.”
In his opening statement for that hearing, then-subcommittee chair Sen. Carl Levin, a Michigan Democrat, said that Mercer’s business avoided paying more than $6 billion in taxes between 2000 and 2013.
Since then, Levin has retired from the Senate and Republican Sen. Rob Portman has taken his place as subcommittee chair. When I called the subcommittee’s Capitol Hill office to see if any investigation into Renaissance was still underway, the person who answered the phone said he couldn’t comment on active investigations. I then asked if that meant the investigation was in fact active.
hey boy. shameless, lying village idiot how does drinking a product made in Scotland and smoking a cigar grown and rolled in the Dominican Republic contribute to maga. “I believe the simplest explanation is, there is no God. No one created the universe and no one directs our fate. This leads me to a profound realization that there probably is no heaven and no afterlife either. We have this one life to appreciate the grand design of the universe and for that, I am extremely grateful.”
