The Republican Party has had various faction uprisings which have hurt it in recent years. First it was the Tea Party bullshit in the early 2010s, and now we have Trump. The inability to stop Trump confirmed that, yes, Republicans keep throwing out shitty Presidential candidates, presenting a field so weak this time that a baggage-laden narcissist whose flaws are on front-and-center display can still win the Presidential primary
The nomination and eventual widespread support of Hillary confirmed that, yes, the left is totally fine with a greedy, self-serving, and super-corrupt Presidential candidate, as long as that person can win. Hilarious from a party which champions itself as supposedly in the corner of the common man.
