If they had just stuck with the celebrity cut-aways to explain shit I would have been very happy. Reliving the worst of the 80s through a relentless montage of grainy video clips was totally superfluous to the story and dragged me out of the moment relentlessly. I mean, its a 130 minute movie about people who discovered an impending financial crisis and how hard it was to profit off it, it doesnt need to be dynamic.

Dodd/Frank was "the fix" not the cause.
Normally I'd go on a Hollywood rant about how they conveniently left out how the liberal politics fucked up the entire situation but Bush fully supported the housing boom. The imediate post Lehamn years were LOL watching congress grandstand against Wall Street.
