re: the double play break up

call it more PhillieBall, only this time the Dodgers benefit...Utley, an ex-Phillie player was the wrongdoer...a few years ago the Philies pitchers intimidated Dodger hitters with some headhunting for which the Dodger pitcher (Billingsly) did not respond in kind...DodgersWay is so PC they had to bring in someone to play country hardball

re: headhunting, this year the Dodgers have a couple of pitchers (Kershaw & Howell) that will throw at Mets hitters if the Mets want to take it farther plus Puig & Coach McGuire will lead the charge off the bench if a brawl starts

Hopefully this wins on appeal. Total bullshit.

This would be me if the dodgers lost Saturday night,

I chased a - 200 ML loser w. another -200 ML (so would be like going 0 for 6 if they lost.)

Harvey Keitel needed the dodgers vs the mets, too.
the best clip is when he wakes up from drug induced somber, and Strawberry just hit a HR for LA.
So he he is feeling good until he hears, "and that pulls the Dodgers to w/in 11-3"

I don't know if I said it on this forum, but I know I posted somewhere that I was concerned about Anderson, because he sucked during the whole month of September. Anderson has never pitched this many innings in a year. It was great that he remained mostly healthy in 2015 (a first for him), but still, the only year that he pitched more than 112 innings was 2009. This year he pitched 180. I think he's just worn down.

I would have started Alex Wood today, but you saw that he sucked, too. Alex Wood is highly inconsistent. Since he's been with the Dodgers, he's either been excellent or terrible, without much in between. But I would still have taken my chances on him over Anderson.

It also didn't help that the Mets were super fired up after the Utley thing. That tends to help teams perform better. Remember back in 1988 when the Mets' David Cone mocked the Dodgers in the press during the NLCS, and then he got lit up for 6 runs the next day? Kind of the same concept here, except the anger was over something physical rather than spoken words.

Tomorrow is the time for Clayton Kershaw to finally "get over it" regarding the postseason and pitch a brilliant game.

    We will see.

No, and honestly I don't know what to expect.

Half of me thinks Kershaw will finally redeem himself, and shut down the Mets completely.

Half of me also thinks that this will be another postseason fail for Kershaw, and that he may never turn it around, perhaps with the fail being in his head to where it becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. To be honest, he didn't look that great in Game 1. The Kershaw in the 2nd half of the regular season was virtually untouchable. I hope we get that Kershaw tomorrow.

    2/1?

Are you honestly offering me $2 for every $1 I bet on the Dodgers?

If so, I am interested. How much?

It's a major flaw when you have a payroll as high as the dodgers and you are trotting out Brett Anderson for game 3.

That said Kershaw is so due. Only problem is the Mets can throw guys at Kershaw and Greinke who can pitch lights out at times as well.
