GUYS THIS IS FUCKING AMAZING
"Birds born in a cage think flying is an illness." - Alejandro Jodorowsky
"America is not so much a nightmare as a non-dream. The American non-dream is precisely a move to wipe the dream out of existence. The dream is a spontaneous happening and therefore dangerous to a control system set up by the non-dreamers." -- William S. Burroughs
couldnt they find a lead actor who looked less like justin beiber tho?
and i feel someone should really do a definitive piece of work on when exactly those DEA mustaches turned into dick polishers.

Through 2 episodes and everything is titties.
That look that mexi n-word from "Waiting" gives when that bitch asked about the meeting.
Fucking titties.
That part where Petey Pablo on the bridge knowing family trees= Over the top
Errrthing else titties.
just watched the first 3 eps, solid so far. Red Viper is killing it.
Just finished it now, was fucking solid gold. Worth cancelling the plans yesterday to watch this with the lady friend and then after she left.
I'm one episode in and enjoying it a lot so far. Expected Sonatine's reaction to be "meh" though. Guess I better (ahem) buckle up.
nothing can save fatotines tv he slipped and spilled a milkshake on it
we have other tvs, we have others.
that milkshake however was irreplaceable.

the relentless feral columbian sex is a bit overbearing.

Mexicans sure love to call people "Fag" in this show.
El Gallo likes to refer to me as "Ginge", which......well, actually, that may be worse than fag.....<lowers head>
the scale of money being described is really inconsistent. one minute they are pulling in 50m a day, then top tier people are balking at paying 200k a month tax to escobar... its a little jarring.

Yea it started ok. Liked the color scheme. Old timey Pablo clips. And i approve the use of ass and/or titties to distract from any flaws with characters/plot/randomshit.
Some of the money inconsistencies likely come from mixing Colombian pesos and USD. Like paying a million from killing a few cops is likely in pesos etc. (i remember hearing 1k USD when it was open season from some source) And the rest is just sloppiness.
interesting, apparently they are angling for a second season which is why it ends on such an open note.
but why fucking bother? there is like, 18 months of his life left to cover. and its pretty much all him sleeping in a different house every night then getting gunned down.
maybe they are going to focus on cali next season. personally id rather they got into the mexican cartels. or russians.

I'm now 4 episodes in and surprised to hear this. The timeline in this show moves so fast. Episode 1 glosses over years of events, Escobar just instantly goes from small time smuggler to billionaire kingpin. I would think there would be an interesting story in his rise to power.
I think 3 years elapse from episode 3 to 4. He's about 33 at this point. So I guess another 9 years will pass over the next 6 episodes? If this was a biopic I'd understand, but it feels really rushed for a series.
That would be my guess. I went into this thinking it was a one-time miniseries ending with the killing of Escobar. I guess with the generic title of "Narcos" they figured they could just keep it going. They also don't mind playing around with facts a bit, as the real Steve Murphy didnt get assigned to Columbia until 1991.
My guess is it slowly branches to Cali next season....either gradually where Escobar bites it in like ep 5, or maybe they just do it right away in the first ep.
