Sweat to be caught first @ -110 is a steal. He looks to be more the white trash, dumbass type. Arrested several times for selling weed and guns. Richard Matt seems like a full-blown sociopath. Likely has a high IQ and an anti-social personality. Would assume they aren't dumb enough to stay together. Matt has a "Mexico Forever" tattoo on his back -- If he gets to Mexico he's likely home free. I believe he also has friends / connects there. I expect Sweat to get picked up for DUI / banging a hooker in the parking lot of a motel. Also Sweat is from NY -- he likely doesn't have anywhere else to go, unless Matt were to let him tag along, which I don't see happening to be honest.

Last night pretty much the entire search team came to some tiny town 40 miles south of prison after reports 2 men ran into woods when spotted by car. Everyone thought they were "cornered" and it was coming to end but search turned up nothing.
Two convicted murderers on the run for five days after breaking out of prison in New York may now have fled to Vermont, investigators believe. David Sweat and Richard Matt cut their way out of prison using power tools. Police believe the men thought Vermont would be a "cooler" destination with fewer officers on their tail, said the state's governor, Peter Shumlin. Vermont officials said the north-eastern US state was working to get the "dangerous men" locked up. "Follow every lead you have", said New York Governor Andrew Cuomo, addressing some of the 450 officers involved in the search.
"Follow them as if it's the lead that's going to break the case. I am confident we are going to find them, the only question is when." The manhunt in northern New York and surrounding areas has now extended to campsites and boat slips in neighbouring Vermont. Mr Shumlin and Mr Cuomo held a joint press conference outside the maximum security prison from where the man escaped, Clinton Correctional Facility. "New York was going to be hot. Vermont would be cooler, in terms of law enforcement," Mr Shumlin said, referring to the unspecified information about the men's whereabouts.
Police confirmed on Wednesday that they had interviewed "one woman in particular" who may have befriended the inmates and had a role in their escape, but would not go into detail. That woman "may had had some role in assisting them", said New York state police superintendent Joseph D'Amico. An unnamed source told CNN earlier that woman is Joyce Mitchell, who worked at the prison tailor shop. She had planned to pick up Matt, 48 and Sweat, 34, after they escaped but changed her mind at the last minute. Ms Mitchell has not been arrested or charged, and her son has said his mother would not have helped the prisoners escape.
Matt was given a jail term of 25 years to life for beating a man to death in 1997. Sweat was serving a life sentence without parole for the murder of Broome County Sheriff's Deputy, Kevin Tarsia.

They are still concentrating on areas within a few miles from the prison.
If they had help and were given a vehicle (obviously they haven't carjacked someone we would have heard about it), then they could be a lot further away.
But it's so easy to make a mistake with cell phones and video surveillance everywhere....so perhaps they are still out in a forest.

Latest update: not one confirmed sighting yet. All the reports have been bullshit pretty much. Usually they will carjack someone, committ other crimes that get reported here and there as they teack them....but nothing. It is almost inconceivable they didn't have help lined up. The car that they were supposed to get was never there, so they walked out on foot with only a 4 hr head start.
These motherfuckers are outsmarting thousands of police so far, and every day that goes by makes it less likely they get caught anytime soon.
The one guy has a genius IQ apparently, so the cops have their work cut out for them.

Ya know I think they had to wing it because the lady on the inside, last minute ditched on them so maybe she left a bag of money and clothes and maybe a rendezvous point, but other than a last minute call to another person to take them out of there would be my only guess.
